A gift of long-term, appreciated stock saves money in two ways: income taxes are reduced because of the charitable donation, and the donor avoids the capital gains tax that would have applied had they sold the shares themselves. You can fulfill our kids urgent needs by shopping our Amazon Wish List and shipping directly to our campus! We need items for tweens and teens, and half of us are boys!

Heroes for Hope

Volunteers talking

Our Heroes for Hope provide more than 80% of all dollars raised each year, and our Heroes are those who contribute a total of $1,000 or more each fiscal year to Murphy-Harpst, which runs from July 1 to June 30.

Donors that are Heroes for Hope are recognized at the following levels:

  • The Founder’s Circle – $20,000 or more
  • The Chairman’s Circle – $15,000 to $19,999
  • The Trustee’s Circle – $10,000 to $14,999
  • The President’s Circle – $5,000 to $9,999
  • The Patron’s Circle – $2,500 to $4,999
  • The Hero’s Circle – $1,000 to $2,499

Heroes for Hope are recognized in our annual report and at special gatherings throughout the year.

All gifts from $1 to $999 will be recognized at the Friends of Murphy-Harpst level.
